SRK Reveals Saddest Moment as Kolkata Knight Riders Co-owner: 'Inka Costume Hi Achha Hai... '

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday.

Ahead of the clash at Chepauk, Shah Rukh Khan opened up on the ‘saddest’ moment as KKR co-owner.

The Kolkata Knight Riders were hugely popular after their ‘black and gold’ jerseys were unveiled but their performances on the field were exactly the best in the first 3 seasons.

In an interview with Star Sports SRK said he was questioned about the KKR jersey during the early days.

“Having the nicest set of team in the world and we kept on losing only again and again,” SRK said.

“I still remember, which was the saddest moment, kisi ne mujhe aise bola ‘inka costume hi achha hai, inka gameplay to achhai hai hi nahi‘ (someday said to me ‘only their playing kit is nice, not their game’). I remember some expert talking this. It used to hurt. To come back with GG (Gautam Gambhir) and do this was outstanding. It taught us how to lose but never be losers and never give up hope. Sports teaches you that,” Shah Rukh added.

KKR have earlier won the title two times, while SRH are seeking their second IPL trophy.

SRK has been a source of constant support for KKR throughout this season, being spotted not at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata but all over the country.

Shah Rukh Khan had suffered a heat stroke and dehydration in Ahmedabad, after the IPL 2024 Qualifier win over SRH. He was discharged undergoing treatment at KD Hospital.
