'Gentle Reminder': RCB Trolled by CSK Legend Ambati Rayudu After Losing Eliminator
Ambati Rayudu pointed out that Chennai Super Kings have won the PL five times while Royal Challengers Bengaluru have never.

Former Chennai Super Kings batter Ambati Rayudu dropped a sarcastic post on social media after Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost the Eliminator clash to Rajasthan Royals in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, May 22. A few days ago the same venue, RCB registered a dominant victory over CSK in the last league game, knocking the reigning IPL champions out of the competition. Following the crucial win, Virat Kohli and other members of the RCB unit broke into an emphatic celebration. On the other hand, it was a heartbreaking occasion for Rayudu, who represented the Yellow franchise for six seasons during his career.

After moving to Chennai Super Kings in 2018, the former Indian batter lifted as many as three IPL titles before announcing his retirement at the end of the last season. With MS Dhoni in charge, CSK took home their fifth IPL title last year. After they beat the Gujarat Titans in a nailbiting final in Ahmedabad, Dhoni was seen asking Ambati Rayudu to receive the trophy at the post-match presentation ceremony.

Back then, a video featuring Ravindra Jadeja and other CSK players created much buzz across the internet. The team was returning to the hotel and on the way, the members of the CSK squad were captured celebrating their record-equalling fifth title inside the team bus. Jadeja and Ajinkya Rahane were seen showing their five fingers, highlighting the monumental achievement.

Ambati Rayudu, who was also part of the group, reshared the clip on Instagram after Royal Challengers Bengaluru crashed out of the title race. A text on the video read, “Just a gentle reminder from the five-time champions. Sometimes a gentle reminder is required.” Another core member of the CSK family, Deepak Chahar reacted to the post and dropped a ‘salute’ emoji in the comment section.

As far as RCB’s performance in the Eliminator is concerned, the Faf du Plessis-led side could never dominate the game against Rajasthan Royals. The Bengaluru-based side faced a batting collapse in the first innings and posted 172 on the board. RR might have lost some early wickets but managed to chase down the target in 19 overs. Sanju Samson and Co. will now need to overcome Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second qualifier to confirm their berth in the final.
