Use a unique password. Your password should be really hard to guess! Never make it obvious, like "12345678", "abcdefgh", your username, or your street name. Your password should be at least 8 characters long and contain a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Be very creative. For example, try the last name of someone you don't know too well plus a number and an exclamation point at the end. Hackers can find information about you online and use it to guess your password. So if you live at 123 Williams St, a hacker may try 123Williams as your password.
Never give your password to anyone. Even if someone is trying to offer you free Roblox Premium or Robux, never tell anyone your real password. A Roblox admin will never ask you for your password, so if someone claims to work at Roblox and asks for your password, they are trying to hack you.
Log out of Roblox when you're finished playing. This is especially important if you're using a computer that other people use, even if it's someone you trust. This means that even if you sign in to Roblox on your best friend's computer, you should sign out—you never know who might have access to your friend's computer.
Turn on 2-step verification (2SV). When you use 2-step verification, nobody will be able to sign in to your Roblox account even if they do get a hold of your password. This is because each time you sign in to Roblox, you'll get a special code in your email account that you'll have to enter in Roblox to finish signing in. Here's how to set up 2SV: First, log into Roblox and go to your settings. If you're on a computer, click the gear to get there. On a phone or tablet, tap the three dots. If you haven't verified your email address, select Account Info, and then Verify Email. Go to your email inbox and click the link in the message from Roblox to verify. Now go back to Settings and click the Security tab. Click or tap Two Step Verification to turn it on. Enter your password to confirm.
Enable Account PIN. In the event that a hacker does access your account, your 4-digit PIN will prevent them from changing any settings, such as your email, phone number, or password. You should still reset your password in case they may be able to find your PIN. First, log into Roblox and go to your settings. If you're on a computer, click the gear to get there. On a phone or tablet, tap the three dots. If you haven't verified your email address, select Account Info, and then Verify Email. Go to your email inbox and click the link in the message from Roblox to verify. Now go back to Settings and click the Security tab. Click or tap Account PIN to turn it on. Type in a 4-digit PIN Write down your PIN somewhere or use a password manager so that you do not forget it. If you do forget your PIN it can only be reset by contacting Roblox Support.[1]
Don't add anyone else's email address to your account. The only email address connected to your Roblox account should be yours. If you put another person's email address there, they can request your password and steal your account.
Never trust "free Robux generators" or Roblox cheat sites. Roblox has a secure system, so people can't actually hack Robux into your account. If a website that claims to give you free Robux or special cheat codes asks for your password, close the page! You may see comments from people that claim the site works. Don't believe them. They're either fake comments the creator put up or people who say that just to make other people believe that it's real. They might even get paid to say stuff like that. Why can't you hack Robux? All Roblox currency is stored on Roblox servers. Hacking servers is considered very difficult and is also illegal. Hackers will receive fines, and prison terms if they are convicted of violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, if they are in the US (which is very broad, so they won't be able to tread the line).
Don't use your Roblox username and password anywhere except Roblox. One of the most common ways players get hacked is by filling out surveys and entering their Roblox username and password when filling out surveys. Even if a survey or non-Roblox website says to enter your Roblox password, do not enter it.
