Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, is yet to make her debut on the silver screen, but the budding actress has bagged the role of the ‘leading lady’ at designer Ridhi Mehra’s latest bridal collection. Shanaya Kapoor was introduced as the muse of a bridal collection called Safarnama on February 24. The collection offers a range of clothes like lehengas, long jackets, pre-draped sarees, salwar-suit sets, sharara pants, and sarees. The collection uses a range of fabrics like organza, tulle, and raw silk that are crafted with techniques like applique, zardozi, and jewelled embroidery. The clothes under the Safarnama collection range from Rs 89,800 to Rs 2,99,900.
In the collection’s first look, Shanaya opted for a red pantsuit set delicately embroidered with what appears to be gold sequences. Shanaya wears a red bustier underneath the jacket. The plunging neckline of the jacket goes well with multi-layered necklaces. This pant-suit set, named Milan, is made of raw silk. It is priced at Rs 2,02,600. Shanaya keeps the attention on the outfit with minimal warm-toned make-up and keeps her hair open as they are styled with soft curls.

Before revealing Shanaya Kapoor as the face of her bridal collection, Ridhi Mehra’s label built anticipation by presenting a storyline about the newly wedded bride, named Shanno. In a statement to The Fashion Network, Ridhi Mehra said that they wanted to create a collection that would appeal to a bride who “embodies boldness, carefreeness, and a spirit of experimentation while still holding onto the traditions in her own unique style.”

While talking about choosing Shanaya Kapoor as her muse she said, “As we curated this collection, Shanaya Kapoor naturally emerged as our first and foremost choice to personify the essence of the campaign. This campaign is not just a showcase of bridal couture; it’s a celebration of memories, journeys, and the beautiful fusion of the past with the present.”
The campaign seems to draw much inspiration from the olden times and evokes a sense of nostalgia by using props like old transistor radios and atachi bags. Talking about the campaign design Ridhi Mehra told Bold Outline “We drew inspiration from the times we travelled on trains for weddings, cherishing the moments around it. Shanaya’s departure in her own baraat, set against the backdrop of a train journey, became the heart of our storytelling. This campaign is not just a showcase of bridal couture; it’s a celebration of memories, journeys, and the beautiful fusion of the past with the present.”
