Why can't I join 17+ experiences on Roblox?
You must be ID verified to join 17+ games. Due to Roblox's Restricted Content Policy, you can only join 17+ games if you are 17 or older. To prove this, you must verify your account with a valid ID. This can be done in your account settings. If you have already verified your age and still can't access 17+ games, see our troubleshooting section instead.
Verifying With ID
Go to https://www.roblox.com/ in a web browser. You can use a mobile or desktop browser, but you must have a mobile device with a camera to start the verification process. You must have a valid ID, such as a driver's license, passport, ID card, or residence permit.
Open your Settings. You can find this by clicking the cog icon in the top-right corner.
Select Account Info. This is in the left panel.
Click Verify My Age. This is under the Personal header. Make sure your birthday is correct. A pop-up window will open.
Scan the QR code. Use the camera on your mobile device.
Select Begin verifying. This will start the process.
Follow the on-screen instructions. You'll be asked to allow camera access. Scan your ID card. Capture a selfie. Wait for approval.
Check your account status. Once the verification process has been completed, you'll see pass or fail. If you passed, your account will be updated within a few minutes.
Troubleshooting Age Verification
Turn on parental controls. Some users reported that enabling parental controls and configuring the content maturity can fix the issue. Do the following: Log into Roblox. Navigate to Settings. Select Parental controls. Select Settings you manage. Select Content maturity. Select 17+ content.
Check your regional restrictions. If you have your account set to a different region, you may be blocked due to that region's restrictions. If your region is wrong, you'll need to contact Roblox Support and request a change.
