HTC blatantly mocks Apple's 1984 Macintosh ad in new One A9 commercial
HTC takes a dig at Apple's idea of conforming in its new ad for the One A9 - its latest smartphone that has been found to have design similarities with the iPhone.

New Delhi: When HTC introduced its One A9, many reports noticed stark similarities of the Android smartphone to that of an Apple iPhone. However, the company was quick to dismiss the doubts and said that it was in fact Apple which borrowed the idea of a metal design from the Taiwanese company.

To reiterate that Apple is an idea borrower and wants people to conform to its closed environment, HTC is now out with a brand new commercial for its One A9, which, quite evidently mocks the Cupertino giant’s 1984 ad for the Macintosh.

In the new ad for HTC One A9, a youth is shown breaking free from the norm and embracing the ‘brilliant’ technology. But the commercial takes an entirely new level of mockery when at one stance the youth enters a room with a white dinner table laid out with white apples and surrounded by mannequins dressed in white. In his continued effort to ‘be loud’ and bold, the youth kicks away the apples and moves out into the world of freedom (Android 6.0 Marshmallow).

The HTC One A9 is the first smartphone outside the Nexus brand to come pre-installed with the latest Android Marshmallow.
