A new report finds that Apple has overtaken brands such as Fitbit and Xiaomi to become the world's top vendor of wearable bands since releasing its smartwatch earlier this year.

That puts it ahead of not just Fitbit and Xiaomi but also all vendors of smartwatches, despite the Apple Watch's higher price point.
The report came as Apple readied its quarterly earnings report for Tuesday release.
