Rajasthan CM says no to security for MLAs, to organise 'janata darbar'
Vasundhara Raje asked the state police chief that the number of her security personnel should be cut by half.

Jaipur: Aam Aadmi Party's brand of clean politics and austerity continues to have its effect in other states too with Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje deciding to shed the trappings of power herself and eliminate the VIP culture just like the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi.

The Vasundhara Raje government has decided not to give security to the MLAs. Earlier, each MLA was provided one gunman but this practice has been discontinued.

Those MLAs who have already have a gunman will have to surrender it.

Raje, who is popular for her extravagant lifestyle had already scaled down her security. She also asked the state police chief that the number of her security personnel should be cut by half.

She has also decided to organise janata darbar and meet the public. Every day, for two hours the two state ministers will hear the grievances from the public.

What's your reaction?
