Puducherry: A total of 183 nominations were filed on Friday in the Union Territory for the April 13 Assembly polls.
Home and Health Minister E Valsaraj filed his nomination for the lone seat in Mahe, an enclave of the Union Territory in Kerala.
In Puducherry which has 23 segments, 143 nominations were filed while in Karaikal, 40 were filed, election officials said.

Seventeen nominations have been filed so far for the lone segment in Yanam, an enclave of the Union Territory in Andhra Pradesh, and seven for Mahe, an enclave in Kerala.
The Union Territory has 30 assembly constituencies.
Saturday is the last day for filing papers.
