Erode: Stepping up her attack against the ruling DMK, AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa on Thursday alleged that law and order in Tamil Nadu has deteriorated due to the "misrule" by the Karunanidhi government.
"It is a visible truth that law and order in Tamil Nadu has deteriorated," she said, blaming the Karunanidhi government for the "misrule".
Jayalalithaa was addressing an election meeting in Chitode village, 12 km from Erode.
She alleged that several ministers in the Karunanidhi cabinet were involved in a number of criminal activities. "But their leader failed to take action against them," she said.
Lambasting Karunanidhi, she said there was no industrial or agricultural development in the last five years. "Power cut is rampant and Tamil Nadu which was once surplus in electricity is now a deficit state."
