Bengaluru: After an open threat of public ‘beheading’ by a local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has been facing attack in the cyber world for his remarks for supporting beef eating.
Soon after he said that he is ready to eat beef to challenge the BJP, some miscreants changed his name to 'Samuel' Siddaramaiah from S Siddaramaiah or Siddaramanahundi Siddaramaiah on his wikipedia page. After it was brought to the notice of Wiki administrators, 'Samuel' was deleted from the page.
Speaking to IBNLive, Karnataka Chief Minister's media coordinator KV Prabhakara said that they are aware of increasing online attack on Siddaramaiah after his beef remarks.
Reacting to BJP’s demand for beef ban, Siddaramaiah had said, “So far I have not eaten beef but I might eat it now. Who are you to ask?”.
Countering his statement, local BJP leader from Shimoga SN Channabasappa had dared Siddaramaiah to eat beef at Gopi Circle in Shimoga city and had threatened that he would personally ‘behead’ the Chief Minister if he did so.
Channabasappa was later arrested for openly threatening the Chief Minister.
