Salman Khan has been reigning supreme as one of the biggest stars of the Indian film industry for over 30 years now. While his fans are always eager to see him on screen, one question that lingers in the mind of every fan is ‘Why is the star still unmarried at 58’. Salman’s fans have been with him through thick and thin, during a rough patch of his career before 2009 and also when he was battling several lawsuits.
His fans want nothing more than to see their favourite star get married but at 58, the possibilities of Salman getting married are quite bleak. So why has the actor eluded marriage? Salman’s father Salim Khan has an interesting take on the subject.
A recent video is going the rounds on the internet where veteran screenwriter Salim Khan talked about how his son Salman views marriage and why he has not taken the marital plunge to date. Salim Khan said about Salman, “He easily enters into relationships, but he lacks the courage to get married. He has a very simple nature and gets attracted easily. However, he always wonders whether the woman can manage a family like his mother does.” Salim Khan said that Salman always looks for the qualities and traits that his mother has in the women he dates.
Salim Khan added, “He wants the woman he marries to be dedicated to her husband and children, just like his mother was. She should cook meals for the children, help them get ready and ensure their homework is done. However, this is not easy in today’s times.” This is the reason Salman Khan has not been able to zero in on a woman to marry to date.
Salman Khan has had his share of relationships and flings with actresses like Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif being linked to him. None of the relationships worked out, however.
