Munawar Faruqui has been on a roll. The year began with the comedian emerging as the winner of Bigg Boss 17. Next, he appeared in a music video alongside Hina Khan followed by the announcement of his acting debut project First Copy. Now, he is making headlines for his first song after claiming the Bigg Boss trophy. Faruqui, on Thursday, unveiled the official video of his first song titled Dhandho.
The lively hip-hop number marks the collaboration of Faruqui with rapper Spectra after four years. For the song, he also joined hands with music producer Sez On The Beat. However, the captivating lyrics of the song also led some fans to speculate that Faruqui took a dig at Nazila and Ayesha Khan.
Faruqui’s song has been flooded with comments filled with love and adoration. A fan applauded the comedian-turned-singer and wrote, “Aag bhai… what a lyrics,” with another predicting, “This gonna be super hit.” One of the individual manifested, “International tour soon.” “Ek Hi Rap Main Sabko Tunnel Tak Chhod Kar Aa Gaya Apna Bhai,” added another user referring to his popular dialogue from Bigg Boss 17.
Earlier, Munawar Faruqui shared his views on the song in a media interaction. The Lock Upp winner said, “I’m thrilled to share ‘Dhandho’ with the world, a song that embodies the raw energy of the streets. The song is about power and is out-and-out underground hip-hop. Collaborating with Spectra is always special, and I hope that everyone enjoys our song as much as we do.”
Meanwhile, Fauqui is all set to embark on the acting journey. Earlier in April, he unveiled the official teaser of his upcoming series, First Copy. In the 1 minute and 43 seconds clip, the comedian impressed fans with his portrayal of a grey character from the world of piracy.
