Chaitra Navratri 2024 Fourth Day: Auspicious Timings To Worship Goddess Kushmanda
An expert said that Goddess Kushmanda should be worshipped in the Saubhagya Yoga.

Chaitra Navratri, one of the most prominent Hindu festivals, started on April 9 and will continue till April 17. Maa Kushmanda, one of the forms of the Maa Durga is worshipped today, i.e.- on the fourth day of the Chaitra Navratri.

Dr Mrityunjay Tiwari, Head of the Astrology Department of Shri Kallaji Vedic Vishvavidyalaya said that Goddess Kushmanda should be worshipped in the Saubhagya Yoga.

According to the Drikpanchang, Saubhagya Yoga is good for most auspicious activities. According to the astrologer, Saubhagya Yoga has started in the morning and will continue till 02:13 AM tomorrow. Not only this yoga, but Rohini Nakshatra has also commenced in the early morning and will continue till 12.51 pm. It will be followed by the Mrigashira Nakshatra.

Saubhagya Yoga and Rohini Nakshatra are considered auspicious for going ahead with the important works. Dr Tiwari also discussed the auspicious time, mantra, offering and aarti of puja. According to him, these are the correct time slots for the Muhurat of the Chaitra Navratri.

Labh-Unnati Muhurta: 07:34 AM to 09:10 AM

Amrit-Sarvottam Muhurta: 09:10 AM to 10:46 AM

Brahma Muhurta- 04:29 AM to 05:14 AM.

Abhijit Muhurat- 11:56 AM to 12:48 PM.

Ravi Yoga- Late tonight at 12:51 AM till 05:58 AM tomorrow.

How to worship Maa Kushmanda

On the fourth day of Chaitra Navratri, after taking a bath in the morning, the devotees are required to wear clean clothes. They should then proceed ahead to worship Maa Kushmanda and firstly, pour water on Maa Kushmanda’s idol. They should then offer the goddess akshat, vermilion, fruits, hibiscus or rose flower, red coloured chunari or saree, makeup material, incense sticks, malpua, lamp, etc. During that time they should also chant the mantras written for Maa Kushmanda and finish it by performing the aarti of the revered goddess.

As per the beliefs, Goddess Kushmanda provides direction and energy to the Sun. She has the power and the capability to live inside the sun.
