HYDERABAD: Monday’s meeting of the Telangana Congress steering committee at the residence of its chairman and Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao assumes significance in the midst of developments in the state which include some of the Telangana ministers’ decision to go to the Secretariat to attend official duties, resignations to be submitted by the Jagan-supporting MLAs and the slowdown in the T movement. Some Congress leaders are of the view that the Telangana ministers have ‘no sense’ as compared to firm decision taken by the MPs, MLAs and MLCs loyal to Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSR Congress. As many as two MPs and 28 MLAs have decided to resign for the sake of one person (Jagan), while the 15 Telangana ministers are not ready to resign for the sake of four crore Telangana people. It is learnt that two or three Telangana ministers (out of 12 whose resignations were rejected by the speaker) are expected to attend the Monday meeting. A majority of the T Congress MPs who include nine Lok Sabha and one Rajya Sabha member, MLAs and MLCs will attend.
