Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s New Film Tu Hai Meri Kiran Faces Legal Trouble Over Copyright Claims
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who recently got married and had earlier starred together in Double XL, have once again teamed up for Tu Hai Meri Kiran.

Newlyweds Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who recently starred together in Double XL, have once again teamed up for the film Tu Hai Meri Kiran, directed by Karan Rawal. However, the film has run into legal issues with Adlabs, according to TOI. The company has filed a complaint alleging that Tu Hai Meri Kiran infringes on the copyrights of their films Caller (2011) and Call (2019). Adlabs claims exclusive rights to these films and is seeking legal action against Vishal Rana and Echelon Productions for this alleged infringement.

Adlabs, after sending legal notices to Echelon Productions, has now filed a complaint with the Indian Film and Television Producers Council (IFTPC). They are asking Echelon to reveal the script of Tu Hai Meri Kiran and stop any actions that could involve third parties. The actor couple finished filming their movie in June, right before their wedding. Sonakshi Sinha’s recent hits include Heeramandi – The Diamond Bazaar and Dahaad. Both shows earned her a lot of praise from fans and critics alike.

Not long back, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal flew to a dreamy getaway in the Philippines to celebrate their one-month wedding anniversary. Sonakshi and Zaheer got married in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai, with only close friends and family in attendance. The couple had been dating for seven years before they decided to tie the knot. Sonakshi Sinha had registered her marriage with Zaheer Iqbal and shared heartwarming photos but she had turned off comments on the photos seemingly to avoid trolling for her inter-faith marriage. Sonakshi and Zaheer had a civil marriage. The actress, a Hindu, didn’t convert to Islam.

Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in ZEE5’s horror comedy Kakuda. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film is set in a quaint Uttar Pradesh town haunted by a mischievous ghost ‘Kakuda’ who curses men to die within 13 days unless they leave a small door open every Tuesday evening.
