BHUBANESWAR: With the students’ body elections drawing near, colleges campuses have begun to feel the heat. At least three colleges of the City witnessed tensed atmosphere with reports of violence in two which left close to half a dozen students hurt. Student groups owing allegiance to different political parties clashed at Maharshi College of Natural Law as well as in BJB Autonomous College on the day. Fight between two groups left a student injured in Maharshi College. Sahid Nagar Police detained two students following complaints from both sides. They were later released on PR bond.  A similar incident was reported in BJB College where the groups owed allegiance to one political party. The groups engaged in a clash which left four students hurt. Situation remained tense but under control. Rajdhani College also witnessed tense moments on the day though no violence was reported.
