KOCHI: Ashok Leyland and TVS & Sons are jointly giving scholarships for children of heavy duty private bus and lorry drivers. Students who have passed Class X and XII are eligible for the scholarship. As many as 100 students will be given the scholarship. Plus Two students will be awarded Rs 10,000 for two years and students looking for UG courses will be given Rs 25,000 per year for a maximum of 5 years. Applications can be obtained from the nearest TVS or Ashok Leyland offices. The last date of receipt of application is August 5.
