Mumbai: Rhea Pillai has filed a criminal complaint against her former partner and tennis ace Leander Paes alleging that he is trying to displace her from her home.
Leander's lawyers, however, said, "This is Leander's home. Leander had instructed his staff to prepare the guest room where his parents normally stay, for their arrival, into which Rhea had placed some of her artifacts. This police complaint seems like a bid on Rhea's part to gain sympathy, create controversy and stop Leander's parents from staying. Please be clear, this is not the room that Rhea has been recently using as a bedroom."
This comes after Leander filed a criminal complaint against Rhea alleging that she has been threatening him to abduct their child and take her to UK.
According to sources in the Mumbai Police, Leander also filed a guardianship petition in the Bandra family court and has written a letter to Mumbai CP Rakesh Maria. Maria has instructed Additional CP (West) Milind Bharambe to look into the case and reply within 15 days.
However, Maria and Bharambe denied to make any comment on the case.
