New Delhi: The Nithari horror case will soon be larger than life, with a film on the incident to go on floors next month.

Shravan, a film which will be directed by noted filmmaker V Menon, will have the course of events in Nithari village in Uttar Pradesh as the background.

Last month, the horror of Nithari village came to light when skeletal remains of over 22 women and children were found in the drain and backyard of a house in Sector 31 in Noida.

Though the incident of the missing children of Nithari will not formulate the crux of the film, it will play a small yet crucial role.

The film is reportedly the story of an innocent villager who ventures into the city to make a living for himself.

A newcomer, Dharmendra Yadav, will play the lead though the rest of the casting is still to be done. While the film is slated to go on floors in February, it may have a May or June release.

''The course of events in Nithari, though comprising a small proportion of the length of the film, will serve as an interesting segment in the life of the protagonist which changes the course of his life completely,'' UNI quoted Menon as saying.

Incidentally, another filmmaker, Ashok Tyagi also announced that he would be making a film on the Nithari incident.
