Mekapati Meets Meira, Stands by Resignation

NEW DELHI: Congress MP from Nellore Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, a strong supporter of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, called on Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar here on Tuesday and gave explanation for his resignation which he submitted to her on August 24.
He told the speaker that he had resigned in protest against the CBI including former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy's name in the FIR registered in a case against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Clarifying that he stood by his resignation, he hoped the speaker would take a decision soon his resignation.
