BANGALORE: As an iniative to ensure transparency in his administration, Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda announced that  five live cameras will be installed at his offices on November 30. “There will be two cameras at my Vidhana Soudha chambers and 3 at Krishna. We will be connecting the feed to Youtube, so that everyone can see what transpires in my office,” he said. The cameras will be operational during the time chief minister is at work.Speaking about work ethics of officials who work once in a week, he said that the situation had improved by as much as 75 per cent since he came to office. “Everyone is making an effort to attend regularly. My offices have no problems with disposal of files,” he said. He reiterated his government’s stand on the Lokayukta issue stating that he would implement it as fast as possible. He also stated that the total drought-related loss estimated from 99 taluks is Rs 450 crore.“We have written to the Central government seeking Rs 723 crore compensation, 3 days ago. There has been no reply yet, it will take some more time,” said Gowda.
