KATTAPPANA: The two member investigation team appointed by the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) arrived at the power house on Wednesday evening. The committee consisted of KSEB safety commissioner Samson Varghese and former member K Radhakrishnan. The investigation into the explosion of the fifth generator will take place from Thursday.The committee will submit a report within two weeks. A team led by engineer A K Unni of Government Electrical Inspectorate visited the powerhouse and conducted an inquiry into the accident in the morning.An official with the power station said the fourth and the sixth generators had started functioning from Wednesday. The first and second generators had already started functioning from Tuesday night. The maintenance work on the third generator was going on. He added that it would take six months to complete the repair work of the fifth generator which was damaged owing to the blast on Monday. Meanwhile, the two engineers, Marine Isaac and K S Prabha, who were admitted to Ernakulam Medical Centre, are still in a serious condition.
