Journey begins

KOCHI: A touring talkies that has been travelling across the state as a prelude to the international film festival to be held in Thiruvananthapuram this month will reach Kochi on December 5, culminating its journey. In Kochi, the touring talkies will screen films from December 5 to 7.The festival is being organised under the initiative of the Cochin Film Society in association with the Corporation, C HED, Maharajas College Film Club. Entry to the festival is free. Seven films will be screened at Town Hall and Maharajas college Centenary Hall on December 5 and 7, while the screening on December 6 will be at Maharajas college auditorium. The fest starts with the screening of Turkish film 'Zephyr 'at 6 pm at Town Hall on December 5. This will be followed by the screening of  film  'I am Kalam'.'TD Dasan Std VI B',' Walking on the Rail' (Iran), 'Portraits in the sea of lies' (Columbia), 'I am Kalam' are the films which will be screened at Maharajas college auditorium on December 6. The screenings start at 10 am.On December 7 'Metropolis Calcutta' will be screened at 4 pm at the Town Hall,  which will be followed by a show of 'Walking on the rail'. The fest culminates with the screening of 'Vertical City'. The international film festival begins at Thiruvananthapuram on December 9.
