J&K: 2 HuJI militants escape from police custody
Sher Khan and his associate Jameel alias Abdullah escaped while they were being driven from Kishtwar to Udhampur.

Srinagar: Two militants of HuJI including its dreaded commander made a dramatic escape from police custody near Patnitop while they were being driven from Kishtwar to Udhampur to attend a court case.

Sher Khan and his associate Jameel alias Abdullah were escorted by policemen in a vehicle when they fled away apparently after stopping for tea at a shop near Patnitop.

Security forces have cordoned off the various exit and entry points on the highway to capture the commander. Meanwhile, sources said that four policemen have already been suspended for their dereliction in duty.
