JEE Main 2018 Online Registration has begun on the official website of JEE Main - jeemain.nic.in. JEE Main is scheduled to be conducted on 8th April 2018 in pen and paper mode while the computer based exam will be organized on 15th & 16th April 2018. The online application window for JEE Main 2018 will close on 1st January 2018, next month. The last date to pay the application fee is 2nd January 2018. It is notable that some states have joined JEE (Main) system recently therefore candidates from these states must apply for JEE Main 2018 if they aspiring for admissions to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). As per an official notification, “The States of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) – 2018 application form online.”

Step 1 – Visit the official website of JEE Main at jeemain.nic.in
Step 2 – At the end of the page, click on ‘Apply for JEE(Main) – 2018’
Step 3 – Enter your details, pay the application fee and complete the application process
Step 4 - Download the confirmation page and take a print out for further reference

Photo & Signature
Candidates need to upload their latest photograph and signature. Candidates must keep jpg/jpeg files of photograph and signature handy before applying online for JEE Main 2018. The prescribed dimensions are:
1. Photograph -3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (Height)
2. Signature - 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (Height)
Aadhaar Card & Exceptions:
CBSE is the organizing authority of JEE Main Exam. It has made Aadhaar Card Number mandatory for the applicants to furnish at the time of submitting application. Therefore candidates who currently don’t have a valid Aadhaar Card Number must apply for the same and apply once they have either the Aadhaar Card Number or the Aadhaar Enrollment ID. However, candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, Assam and Meghalaya can furnish any govt issued ID, provided their exam center must be in the same state only. “The applicants who have passed or appearing in Class XII examination from the states of J&K, Assam, Meghalaya need to enter the passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. identity number provided they should select the city of examination in these states only,” read a notification.
