Influencer Insha Ghai has confirmed that her husband, Ankit Kalra, passed away due to a cardiac arrest. This clarification comes amid numerous false speculations about the cause of his death since Ghai first shared the tragic news on Instagram. While reposting a story from Ganika Khurana, who runs a nail studio in Haryana, Ghai confirmed the cause of death.
In her Instagram Story, Ganika shared a post from a prayer meet and addressed the rumours, stating, “To all those making fake assumptions. He was a healthy person and had no medical history. It was unexpected and sudden cardiac arrest while sleeping. So, please, if you cannot support the family in their tough times, please don’t overshare fake news. May his soul rest in peace.”

In her latest Instagram post today, August 23, Ghai expressed, “Ankit, you left me to be with God, and it’s so unfair. Our 1.5 years together were far too short. That morning, I had no idea it would be our last. I’m still in denial, praying that this is all just a terrible dream and I’ll wake up on your side.”
She also hinted at the cause of kalra’s death as she wrote, “Your heart gave up, and with it, my life has come to a stop,” adding, ” We had so many plans, and now I’m lost without you. This can’t be true. You left me behind, and it’s a loss I’ll never overcome!”
Ghai conlcuded her post with the words, “Heaven is so so lucky to have you,” a broken heart emoticon and a picture of herself with Kalra.
Another Instagram Story that Ghai reshared is also from a prayer meet held for her husband. It features a picture of kalra adorned with flowers with the text: “As much as this loss hurts, we’re unable to respond to everyone. Your sympathy and support during this difficult time is appreciated. It has surely made a difference in our lives during this time of sorrow. He was and always will be our favourite, god’s favourite.”
