The recent Malayalam film Vaazha – Biopic of a Billion Boys, produced by director Vipin Das, has managed to impress viewers. Now, the makers of the film have announced that there will be a sequel called Vaazha II. In a post by Vipin Das himself, it is stated that the film will continue with a similar theme and new talent will also be added. The director said, “Thank you all for the overwhelming support for Vaazha. Your response has truly inspired me to move forward with fresh talents again. We are thrilled to announce the launch of Vaazha II – Biopic of A Billion Bros!”. The upcoming sequel will feature popular Malayalam content creators Hashir, Alan, Vinayak and Ajin Joy in the lead roles, who also played important roles in the first film. The sequel will be directed by debutant Savin SA and the makers are still looking for a music director.
The latest film Vaazha tells the story of five friends, who are labelled as losers by their families and society; hence the title, which is a colloquial term for someone who is good for nothing. The film also focuses on how these friends explore the trials of adulthood.
Thinking about the aspects of friendship, family, love and the complexities of growing up, the film shows the struggles they face and how they overcome every problem in their lives. Since the situation calls for something similar to different people in real life, the tagline is Biopic of A Billion Boys.
Vaazha – Biopic of a Billion Boys stars Siju Sunny, Saaf Boi, Joemon Jyothir, Meenakshi Unnikrishnan and Amith Mohan Rajeshwari. Actors Jagadish, Kottayam Nazeer, Noby Marcose and Azees Nedumangad also play important roles; Basil Joseph has a cameo in the film.
Vipin Das last helmed the film Guruvayoor Ambalanadyil, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil. The film focuses on a comedy of errors that unfolds around a wedding and leads to a chaotic and funny story.
