Food vlogging across social media platforms has given a chance to street vendors and many local dishes to come into the limelight. These clips also show a range of meals and interesting chats with the chefs. Some of them go viral because of their innovative selling techniques or the unique recipes. But sometimes, there are clips of weird recipes as more and more vendors try to bring a variation to popular street foods. The latest experiment shows a new recipe for everyone’s favourite, momos. A Delhi-based food vendor made momos with mango, but netizens are not impressed.
The video begins with the vendor deep-frying several pre-made momos. He then adds mango slices to a sauce he was cooking on high flame before pouring in a whole bottle of Maaza. He then sprinkles red chilli powder and a generous amount of cream into the pan, allowing it to simmer. Finally, he adds the momos to the mango sauce and garnishes them with cream.

There were a slew of reactions from online users watching this video. While some were simply disgusted, others failed to understand the reason behind spoiling the dish.
A user exclaimed, “Mere momo ko tohh chor dete atleast (could have left momos at least),” while another noted, “Omg Kyun Bhaiya Mayonnaise ko bhi cook kar diya aapne (you even cooked teh mayonnaise together).”
A momo lover who was quite disappointed stated, “Satya Nash kardia momos ka.” on the other hand a person joked, “Masterchef m nahi jail zarur jaenge koi bimar hua toh,”
Failing to understand the purpose of this recipe, a person noted, “Kuch bhi isse acha hume zeher de do aap (It’s better to give poison instead of this dish).” Another person who was not a momo fan stated, “I don’t eat momos and after watching this video I won’t eat mangoes again.”

Earlier this year, another food vendor went viral for his momo omelette. In the video, the seller starts by frying pre-made momos in butter. Once cooked, he removes them from the pan and adds the omelette mixture, seasonings and vegetables. Surprisingly, he reveals that the mixture contains 15-18 different types of spices. He then folds the fried momos into the omelette and flips it to fry the other side. However, food enthusiasts were not impressed and stated that the recipe was not appetising.
