In a significant leadership transition, Gurinder Singh Dhillon, the current head of Dera Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) in Punjab’s Amritsar, has named Jasdeep Singh Gill as his successor. Gill, who will officially assume the role on Monday, September 2, brings a wealth of experience to the position. Gill recently resigned from his position as Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Management at the pharmaceutical company Cipla Limited, where he served from 2019 until May 31 this year.
Gill was also associated with Etheres and Achira Labs Private Limited as a board observer and was a board member of Wealth Therapeutics as of March 2024. Prior to this, he worked as an executive assistant to the CEO at Ranbaxy and served as president and chairman at Cambridge University Entrepreneurs.
Gill holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, achieved through an exchange program. He also earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
In a letter sent to all service in-charges, it was stated that Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon, the patron of Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB), has nominated Jasdeep Singh Gill, son of Sukhdev Singh Gill, as the new patron. Dhillon suffers from a heart ailment and was also diagnosed with cancer several years ago, for which he underwent extensive treatment.
Dera Radha Soami Satsang Beas, which wields significant influence in Punjab, has hosted numerous prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
