New Delhi: The Prime Minister on Monday told the Lok Sabha that his government will take into account the sentiments of the MPs when it votes at the International Atomic Energy Agency later in the day.
Briefing Parliament on India's stand on the Iran nuclear issue, the PM said his government is seeking mutually-acceptable compromise solutions to the issue.
"India does not favour confrontation or coercive measures as these would only heighten tension in the region and beyond," he said.
"We remain hopeful that solutions acceptable to all sides will be found," Singh said while replying to the debate on India's vote at the IAEA on Iran's nuclear programme.
