Inadequate safety at resort pool

BANGALORE: Nelamangala DySP Chinnaswamy who suspected negligence of the resort management and school teachers in the death of nine-year-old Tejas during a picnic at a resort in Nelamangala said, “There were neither swimming instructors, safety signs nor life jackets at the pool. The teachers too were not careful,” he said.It is also alleged that the teachers and the resort management tried to hush up the matter. “Though the incident took place around 1 pm, it was only around 4 pm the police got information from other sources,” a police officer said. Harish, the boy’s father said he wanted his son to become a government official.
