KOCHI: Complaining of human rights violation at the Cochin International Airport, Nedumbassery, the Janapaksham has written to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy regarding the death of a passenger on July 22.In the letter, Janapaksham convenor Benny Joseph said Kaitha Valappil Narayanan Rajan, 54, was denied proper attention when he collapsed after checking in at the CIAL. The letter was based on a complaint by the late Rajan’s daughter and son-in-law Sanju Gopinath stating that Rajan did not receive the services of either a doctor or an ambulance, to reach the Little Flower Hospital in Angamali where he was declared dead. A death certificate too has not been issued. The letter demands an apology from Chandy on the issue and action to ensure that such things are not repeated.
