A group of Youth Congress leaders met Madhya Pradesh Governor, Ram Naresh Yadav on Thursday evening and brought to his notice irregularities in the implementation of Centre's 15 point programme and improper Muslim representation in it in the state.
The youth Congress leaders, led by district youth Congress vice-President Qamruddin Daudi handed over a memorandum to the Governor urging him to ask the state government to give the real status of the programme as of now and give proper representation to the Muslim community in it.
Daudi urged the Governor that Muslims and the Congress in the state have objections against the recent order of the state minority department in this regard which was full of irregularities. He alleged that the Member of Parliament (MP), Indore and MLA, Sehore have been allegedly nominated members in 15 point programme committee terming them as representatives of Muslim populated areas.
Contrary to it the Bhopal North constituency was really the Muslim populated area and the MLA is also a Muslim but the representation was given to MP Indore and MLA, Sehore.
Daudi urged the Governor to ask the state government to provide proper representation to all the Muslim groups including Muslim educationists, Clerics, Muslim journalists and others in this programme.
