German Ambassador to India Thomas Matussek said the venom of terrorism has to be fought at every level.

New Delhi: German Ambassador to India Thomas Matussek on Thursday condemned the blast outside the Delhi High Court and said his country stands by India at this moment of tragedy.

"Our heart goes out for the victims and their family members. Germany stands with India," Mastussek told PTI on the sidelines of a charity event in New Delhi.

"The venom of terrorism has to be fought at every level, but not through hatred," he said.

The Ambassador was at Nizamuddin 'basti' to inaugurate the Hope Project Charitable Trust's renovated vocational skills development centre.

Matussek handed over a donation of Rs 2.5 lakh for the vocational training centre.

German Embassy is now planning to take "The Hope Project" to other parts of India. "We are planning to support a health centre in Pattan, Kashmir", he said.

"We will provide medical equipment and infrastructure to health care centre in Pattan. This will be hopefully realized by the end of this year", project coordinator Anja Maria Bugs said.

"The Hope Project" gets regular grants and sustained support from the German Embassy to carry out social work.
