According to market reports, this year, homemade Rakhis are trending over the machine-made Rakhis that are usually used. Today, we will talk about one such person who is famous for making homemade Rakhis. Souparnika from Uttar Kannada is making Rakhis featuring Ram Lalla, Krishna and various other gods and goddesses. Adding to it she is reportedly also making Rakhis with cartoon figures for kids. The cartoon characters include Minions, Bheem, Doraemon and other cartoon characters.

Souparnika mentioned that this year the Ram Lalla Rakhi is trending and there is huge demand for it. In a conversation with Local 18, She said, “This year Ram Lalla Rakhis are very much trending. People from America, Japan, Australia, England, Dubai, and Germany are ordering Rakhis made by me.” Additionally, she also owns an online website named Craft Khazana – https://www.craftkhazana.com/ – where she sells homemade jewellery.

She mentioned that she has been making Rakhis for the past seven months to meet the demand. Souparnika mainly uses beads, German silver, and various other decorative items to make these Rakhis. She is also known for her unique packaging style.

Souparnika is presently 44 years old. She earlier worked as a 3D and CG artist at Prana Studio in Mumbai. She mentioned that making Rakhis is her hobby. Some of her famous designs include Krishna Rakhi, Mahadev Rakhi, Ganesh Rakhi, Elegant Rakhi, Kids Rakhi, Wooden Rakhi, and Brother-Sister-in-law Rakhi. There are around 8 to 10 designs for each category.

The price of the Rakhis she makes ranges from Rs 100 to Rs 200. She said,” The price range of the Rakhis makes it more affordable for the buyers.
