Scarlette diary: sex, drug, drink binges | Eyewitness speaks

New Delhi: In the latest in the Scarlette Keeling murder case, Goa Home Minister Ravi Naik has once again accused Fiona Mackeown, the mother of the dead British girl, of negligence.

Naik also questioned Fiona's background and said that she is irresponsible.

“I will appeal to the Centre not to extend the visa of Fiona Mackeown because she is an irresponsible woman. She could not take care of her child. She left Scarlette in Goa and went to Karnataka," an angry Naik said.

Slamming Fiona's lifestyle, he continued, "We need to do a background check on her and find out what her source of income is. She has so many children from so many husbands and partners."

This is not the first time Naik has pointed his fingers against Fiona. Earlier, Fiona had claimed that the Goa DGP B S Brar and the state Home Minister are in a nexus with drug peddlers. She also alleged that they were involved in a cover-up.

“I still think that it’s a cover-up and VIPs like DGP and Home Minister are involved in it,” she had stated.

Naik had lashed saying that he intends to commission an enquiry into Fiona's conduct.

“I condemn her allegations. They are baseless and (made) out of frustration. I am asking the British Government to investigate her background,” Naik had said.

Fiona and her advocate, Vikram Varma, fear that the Goa Police might prosecute her under Goa Childrens Act.
