Buildings demolished to make way for underpass

BANGALORE: Thirty two buildings have been demolished by the Bruhat Bangalore Mahangara Palike (BBMP) to make way for the Kadirenahalli underpass.The contractors executing the project were threatened to be blacklisted by Mayor Sharadamma when she visited the new BEL bridge constructions on Monday.But the contractors, Madhava Hytech, are continuing the work.Meanwhile, official sources said that they would not be able to terminate the contract overnight and would have to wait to complete procedures and surveys to ensure they have all details on the remaining works to invite fresh tenders.
