New Delhi: The Border Security Force (BSF) is adding more troops along the Pakistan border.

The BSF has mobilised reserve troops and recalled personnel from leave. The force has also intensified patrolling and surveillance along the Pakistan border.

Pakistan has already said that it may relocate 1 lakh troops from the Afghan border in north Pakistan to the Indian border if tensions erupt in the wake of the terror attacks in Mumbai.

"Border security has been enhanced. The reserves have been put on the border. Small weapons have been put on the border.. Those on election duty in Srinagar, after they return, will also be deployed on the border. Officers have been told to join their duty. We are also keeping a watch on the Pakistani activity on their side of the border and if we detect any activity we will take appropriate action," Mohammed Akil DIG, BSF, said in Amritsar.

Ten Pakistan-trained terrorists attacked Mumbai's prime landmarks -- Taj Hotel, Oberoi Hotel and a Jewish centre called Nariman House -- on Wednesday night Wednesday (November 26), killing at least 195 people and injuring more than 300 others.
