Mumbai: Arshad Warsi seems to have come full circle after 11 years in the film industry. The actor, who began his career with essaying the role of a taxi driver in the film Tere Mere Sapne, will be repeating the act in director Rohit Shetty’s next film titled Sunday.
Though, Tere Mere Sapne did not do much for the actor’s career it did manage to leave a lasting impression on the minds of the audience.
Over the years Arshad has managed to break away from the flop tag and has also landed himself a number of plum projects.
Produced by Kumar Mangat, of Omkara fame, Sunday stars Ajay Devgan, Irfan Khan and Ayesha Takia.
“This film has been planned as a thriller but the overtones will not be sinister. It will be full of humour. The event in the film happens on a Sunday, hence the name,” says Rohit Shetty.
Ajay Devgan plays the role of a policeman and Irfan Khan is playing the role of an actor struggling to gain a foothold in Bollywood while Ayesha Takia plays a dubbing artist who is Devgan’s love interest in the film.
Even on the personal front good times are here to stay for Arshad as the stock has come calling for the second time in the Warsi household.
