Antrix deal: Devas petition to be heard in SC
The Antrix-Devas deal has been highly embarrassing for the Government, after its role in giving its nod to the agreement was questioned.

New Delhi: Private firm Devas Multimedia's petition to allow UN arbitration in the cancelled ISRO's Antrix deal is set to come up for hearing in the Supreme Court on Friday. Devas filed the petition under the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law after its controversial deal with Antrix on scarce S-band spectrum was cancelled by the UPA Government in February last year.

The Antrix-Devas deal has been highly embarrassing for the Government, after its role in giving its nod to the agreement was questioned.

In the fallout, the Government banned the then ISRO chairman G Madhavan Nair and four of his associates from holding government posts, a move that was yet again criticised by the Opposition and masses alike.
