New Delhi: Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra will be brand ambassadors of 'Incredible India' campaign, said sources on Thursday. This comes after the government dropped actor Aamir Khan from the campaign.
The announcement on the same is likely to be made by next week.
Names of actors Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone were also doing the rounds to be the face of the campaign.
Aamir Khan was dropped from the campaign following his remarks on intolerance which created an uproar and also sidelined the government in Parliament.
While speaking at the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards in November 2015, Aamir Khan had stirred a controversy by saying that his wife Kiran Rao has suggested that they should leave India due to a "sense of growing disquiet" and "growing despondency" in the country.
Bachchan is currently also the brand ambassador of Gujarat Tourism.
