The Uttar Pradesh State Board of High School and Intermediate Education (UPMSP) announced the class 10 results 2024 on April 20 at 2 pm. The result was declared via a press conference at the headquarters in Prayagraj. Students from different districts of Uttar Pradesh have made their way to the merit list of the top 10 including class 12th student Tarun Singh from Meerut, Western Uttar Pradesh.
Tarun has passed his intermediate level exams from the science stream at the Saraswati Gyan Mandir Inter College, Jai Bhim Nagar, Meerut. He has secured 482 marks out of 500 and got second place at the district level while eighth place in the state top 10. He hails from an impoverished background. In an exclusive interview with Local18 Uttar Pradesh, Tarun said that his father Mohanlal works as a driver. His mother Poonam works in a factory.
Tarun credited his parents and teachers for this accomplishment. His marks bifurcation includes 96 marks in Hindi, English, and Mathematics, and 67 in Physics and Chemistry.
He also has three sisters in his family. Despite hailing from a poor family background, Tarun said that his parents somehow managed to purchase a mobile phone for him. They wanted him to face no problems in his studies due to the absence of a mobile and he maintained the unshakable faith of his parents. he used that mobile only for pursuing his studies and also took tuition in a couple of subjects. His educational routine was from 7:30 in the morning and sleeping by 2:00 am at midnight.
The Meerut candidate had a word of advice for the youth. According to him, whether it is a board exam or any exam in life if you want to achieve success in it, then it requires rigorous preparation. According to Tarun, the preparation for the exams is never completed in one or two days. He said that regular studies are the only key to success in life.
