The Defense Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL) under the Defense Research Development Organisation (DRDO) has released a recruitment notification for 127 ITI apprentice posts.
According to the official notification, the recruitment will be for the different trades, including Turner, Mechanist, Welder, Computer Operator, Programming Assistant and others in the laboratory.

Candidates who have passed the ITI examination can apply for these positions. The last date to apply for the posts is May 31, 2024.
The tenure of the apprenticeship for the respective trades would be one year only, commencing with the execution of the contract under the Apprentices Act, of 1961.
Candidates selected for training will not be allowed to withdraw from training except for reasons beyond their control and before training, they will have to execute a contract of apprenticeship.
Vacancies
There will be a total of 127 recruitments in the Defense Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), which includes 20 posts of fitter, 8 posts of Turner, 16 posts of machinist, 4 posts of welder, 12 posts of electrician, 4 posts of electronics, 60 posts of computer operator and programming assistant, 2 posts of carpenter and one post of bookbinder.
Eligibility and Educational Qualification:
To apply for these posts at the Defense Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), candidates must have passed ITI in the relevant trade. Apart from this, candidates can refer to the official notification for further information. The students with higher qualifications are not eligible to apply for the positions and even if they do, they will not be considered for selection.
