South Africa will be searching for their second victory of the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 as they face Scotland next. South Africa made a winning start to their campaign with a big win over the West Indies last week. They beat the Caribbean side by 10 wickets.
Despite the phenomenal start, South Africa failed to produce a similar showing versus England. A captain’s knock of 42 from Laura Wolvaardt helped the side put up 124/6 against the former world champions. However, England’s Danni Wyatt and Nat Sciver-Brunt both produced solid knocks to seal a seven-wicket victory.
South Africa will now hope to keep their semi-final dream alive against Scotland on Wednesday.
The Dubai International Stadium will host the Women’s World Cup clash between South Africa and Scotland on October 9.
Scotland also head into this fixture with a defeat in their previous game. The Scottish were beaten by West Indies.
