Tamil film Appatha was released on the big screens on July 29 and received positive reviews from the viewers. The movie shows a heartwarming relationship between a pickle entrepreneur, Kannama and a dog. It is Tamil actress Urvashi’s 700th film directed by the renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan. Now, the film is all set for its television premiere as well. It will premiere on the Colors Tamil, owned by the Entertainment network Viacom18. Urvashi enjoyed a lot while shooting for this film. In an interview with a portal, she said,” My 700th film, Appatha, was an extraordinary experience for me. And this film holds a special place in my heart. The story beautifully captures the essence of family bonds, personal growth, and the importance of facing our fears. It was a pleasure to work with a talented team led by Priyadarshan. I am eagerly waiting for its telecast on Colors Tamil. Priyadarshan also expressed his views regarding the film. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa director said that he feels honoured to have been a part of Appatha. According to Priyadarshan, he feels honoured to bring this heartfelt storyline onto the screen. According to the director, via this film, he has tried to explore the dynamics of human relationships and personal growth.
Priyadarshan said that this has been explored on the screen by Kannamma’s reunion with her estranged son. He said that it has also been depicted by Kannamma confronting her fear of dogs. “The genuine chemistry between the cast and the journey of the project has made the project truly special. I look forward to sharing the emotions and depth of Appatha with the Colors Tamil audience. And I hope it will leave a lasting impression on their hearts,” Priyadarshan said.
