Mumbai: The markets closed flat for the second consecutive day of the week; it opened in the positive but slipped on account of selling pressure. Despite positive Asian cues the markets ended flat.
The Bombay Stock Exchange's 30-share barometer index, Sensex ended 2.06 points down at 12,363.77, after registering a gain of about 116 points to as high as 12,481.93.
Sensex hit an intraday low of 12,341.34 earlier in the trading session.

The BSE Small Cap Index closed at 6,416.02 up 12 points.
The BSE Midcap Index ended at 5,297.35 down 1 point.
The BSE sectoral indices ended mixed.
