Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt has had an illustrious career of four decades in the industry. Despite his successful professional life, his personal life has been full of ups and downs. He made headlines for possession of an AK-56 rifle at home during Mumbai riots, and was linked to the 1993 Bombay blasts. This led him to serve a jail term of 5 years. Sanjay Dutt was struggling with drug addiction as well. He went into a downward spiral in life after his mother, actress Nargis’ death. Sanjay Dutt slowly changed his life and began working again. He won his fans back with Rajkumar Hirani’s Munnabhai MBBS. Now, he is winning hearts with his versatile roles in films. Did you know Sanjay Dutt once confessed that the cause of all his suffering lies in deeds from his past life? When he appeared on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan Season 1 with Sushmita Sen in 2004, he made revelations about his past life and shared how he got connected to someone who told him about it.

Sanjay Dutt said that he has a friend who lives in Gangavati, who told him about Shivnaari — which is a two-hour drive from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Sharing the anecdote, Sanjay Dutt said, “It is a small village, and over there you give your thumb impression, and they find your leaf. They found my leaf, and they said your dad’s name is Balraj Dutt and I said ‘no it is Sunil Dutt.’ And then they said your mother’s name has to be Fatima Hussain, and who knows that? I tried to say no, but he said no, it’s impossible.”

Thereafter, Sanjay Dutt was left stunned after the man told him that he was a king of the Ashoka Dynasty in his previous life. He explained that his wife in the past had an affair with one of his ministers. Due to this, she had sent him away to war to get killed; but instead of losing, he won the war. After returning, he found out about his wife’s extramarital affair. “I found out, and I killed her, and I killed him as well. I was a Shiv bhakt, so I went into the forest and starved myself to death,” he added.

Sanjay Dutt asserted that he lived a king-like life since birth but also had to pay for the deeds of his past life of killing innocent people.

He was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan in a cameo. He will be next seen in Leo alongside Thalapathy Vijay. The film is set to hit the theatres on October 19. He also has a double ISmart in his kitty.
