Janardhan, aka, Bank Janardhan, is a famous veteran Kannada actor. Well-known for his comedy roles, he has left viewers laughing with joy at his comic roles and performances in various Kannada movies and television series. However, on Monday, the esteemed actor experienced a heart attack that required immediate medical attention.
Fans across the globe are praying for the well-being and speedy recovery of Bank Janardhan, who is currently receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital and is being monitored in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As per reports, the 74-year-old actor experienced a heart attack on Monday evening. If the reports are anything to go by, he might undergo an angiogram on Wednesday.
Veteran actor Vijanath Biradar is a friend of Bank Janardhan and visited him at the hospital to check on him. Reportedly, visitors are not permitted to visit him in ICU. Further reports regarding his health are awaited.
Bank Janardhan earned recognition for himself as a theatre artist initially. Later, he worked in notable movies like News, Shhh! and Tharle Nan Maga (1992). He has also starred in Kannada serials such as Papa Pandu. With his illustrative career spanning over forty years, his contributions have been immense. He has worked in around 500 movies and displayed his versatility as an actor which further helped him land different roles and add a certain charm of his own to his performances.
Speaking of his comedic roles, he has showcased his exceptional talent as a comedy actor in movies like Belliyappa Bangarappa by Poorna Pragnya which starred Kumar Bangarappa and Amala in the lead roles. It also featured actors like Vishnuvardhan, Shiva Rajkumar, V Ravichandran, Tiger Prabhakar, Malashri and Sudharani in guest roles. He has also worked in Phani Ramachandra’s Ganesha Subramanya featuring Anant Nag and Ramesh Bhat.
In TV serials, Bank Janardhan graced the screens of some popular soap operas and became a household name for those performances. Apart from Papa Pandu, he has worked in Mangalya, Robo Family and Jokali as well. His presence in a project means he will be serving laughter doses to his viewers.
