Kannada Actress Aishwarya Sarja Gets Engaged To Choreographer Beau Umapathy Ramaiah

Kannada actress Aishwarya Sarja, the daughter of actor Arjun Sarja, has embarked on a new chapter in her personal life as she recently became engaged to choreographer Umapathy Ramaiah. Umapathy is the son of the acclaimed actor and director Thambi Ramaiah. The engagement ceremony was a private and intimate affair, held at the Anjaneyar temple constructed by Aishwarya’s father, Arjun Sarja. It was attended solely by close family members of the bride and groom.

The ceremony was marked by tasteful decorations in the mandapam, where Aishwarya and Umapathy exchanged rings. As a symbol of blessings and good wishes, family members showered rose petals upon the couple. The media present at the event captured these heartwarming moments as the couple posed for photographs.

In an interview with ETimes, Thambi Ramaiah shared insights into how Umapathy and Aishwarya’s relationship blossomed and how they arrived at their wedding plans. He mentioned that the couple initially crossed paths when Umapathy participated as a contestant on the TV reality show Survivor Tamil, which was hosted by Arjun Sarja. The families had their first meeting at the Anjaneyar temple, and as a result, they decided to proceed with the engagement. The couple plans to finalize their wedding date and will make an official announcement on November 8, which is Umapathy’s birthday. The wedding is expected to take place in February 2024, during the Thai maasam period.

Umapathy, in addition to his proficiency in choreography, is a Mixed Martial Arts fighter and ventured into acting in 2017. His role in the film Adhagappattathu Magajanangalay garnered considerable acclaim, and his popularity soared after his appearance in the adventure-based reality show Survivor. Meanwhile, Aishwarya made her entry into the entertainment industry in 2013 with the action comedy Pattathu Yaanai, where she shared the screen with Vishal and Santhanam. Subsequently, she featured in several films, although she did not achieve widespread recognition. Intriguingly, Aishwarya’s father, Arjun Sarja, directed the movie Prema Baraha, with Aishwarya in the lead role, and her mother, Niveditha Arjun, produced the film in 2018.
